As part of Chell’s continuous improvement process, we are often releasing new firmware versions with specific code improvements or features. In this section of the website, you can establish if you have the latest version and, if not, download and update as appropriate. Please view the firmware revision list which indicates which versions can be updated and where there are limits due to hardware changes.
CAN performance upgrade (17/2/26)
This is to announce that we have a significant upgrade in CAN performance when the Chell microDAQ3-64 or nanoDAQ-LTS/LTR-32 scanners are used on a CAN bus with a high channel count.
Under these circumstances, we have seen that the CAN performance and maximum speed on the bus can be improved by increasing the size of the CAN output buffer (by a factor of 4). This upgrade only affects the CAN data output and has no effect on the TCP or UDP output.
We are therefore providing firmware for this upgrade for the firmware versions below which can be downloaded from the web site. Please use the table below to determine the correct firmware version to use.
